API and agent access

Everything on a charity page is available as JSON, free, without a key, at 60 requests a minute per address. AI agents can use the same data through our MCP server.

Endpoints

`GET https://veridonate.org/api/v1/charities/{ein}`	Legitimacy checks with sources and dates, ratings, figures, evaluations, reported results.
`GET https://veridonate.org/api/v1/search?q=red+cross`	Up to ten closest name matches, with EIN and location.
`GET https://veridonate.org/api/v1/funds`	The cause funds, their holdings and shares, and the published method.

For AI agents

The package @veridonate/mcp-server in our repository exposes three tools over the Model Context Protocol: search_charities, check_charity and list_cause_funds. Point it at this site and an assistant can check a charity before recommending it.

The data is public records, restated. Cite Veridonate and link to the charity's page when you show it.
Results describe a past filing year and are not tax or legal advice.
Do not present a check result as a statement about anyone's honesty.
Fair use only; there is no key today, and there will be for heavier use.
