Financial health

We do not score finances when yearly spending is very small or the return has too little detail. The ratios stop meaning much at that size.

Governance

This organization files the short tax form, which does not ask about boards, policies or audits. That is normal for a small charity and is not a mark against it.

Impact evidence

Describes programs. Its tax return describes what it does but we have found no measurable results in it.

Programs described in its return (1)
  1. $20,000 spent. Each year the program serves over 600 students through financial and volunteer support. This begins with our annual Band Camp for our marching band members. This takes place for two weeks in August. The Boosters provide a good amount of the funding for this overnight camp which includes instrumental and marching instruction fun & games for our students and extensive health services during the time of the camp. During our marching season the boosters provide meals and health support at all home games. We also provide transportation to offsite events as well as full uniform fittings & care. In the classroom we provide sheet music custom reeds for school-owned instruments and we supplement the districts budget for music & computer software for our students. We conduct a number of exciting events throughout the year including our Band Review in the fall which is a showcase of area high school marching bands. We also work with other school groups such as student council and robotics where we work together on school initiatives. In the winter we hold our annual Jazz Band Spaghetti Dinner which highlights the extraordinary talent of our musicians. It brings out community dignitaries as well. Our year concludes with concerts showcasing our musicians and especially our seniors. Our band program will celebrate its 100th anniversary in 2026 and the boosters are a huge part of continuing its success. We serve hundreds and hundreds of students in our community and strive to make their experience the best it can be.
