Impact evidence

Describes programs. Its tax return describes what it does but we have found no measurable results in it.

Programs described in its return (4)
  1. Love Shows UpTM is the organization's flagship nonpartisan civic engagement and voter education campaign, designed to equip people of faith to participate fully in civic life. During the year, the organization developed and distributed a comprehensive campaign toolkit, including state-specific voter engagement playbooks, participant handouts, teacher and facilitator guides, a sermon resource pack for partner clergy, and a campaign website providing free public access to all materials. The organization also designed and delivered a Captain Training program to prepare volunteer leaders to conduct nonpartisan voter education activities in their local congregations and communities. All campaign activities were strictly nonpartisan; the organization did not participate or intervene in any political campaign on behalf of, or in opposition to, any candidate for public office. Program work was carried out entirely by volunteers, and materials were provided to the public and to partner congregations at no charge.
  2. The organization operates a structured partnership program that onboards local congregations and their pastors into its social justice ministry network. During the year, the organization developed and implemented a five-phase onboarding framework covering orientation, covenant and memorandum-of-understanding execution, leadership training, activation of local service and advocacy work, and ongoing support. The organization formalized its affiliation with the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World, Inc. (PAW) through a memorandum of understanding designating Love in Action as its social activism arm, creating a pathway for member congregations nationwide to access the organization's education, training, and mobilization resources. Partner churches receive onboarding materials, standardized intake and screening processes, background check protocols for those working with vulnerable populations, and access to campaign and rapid response toolkits, all at no charge.
  3. The organization develops and delivers education and training that equips volunteer leaders to conduct community service and advocacy work. During the year, the organization created a complete Regional Director training curriculum, including a curriculum manual, facilitator guide, participant workbook, presentation materials, and a templates pack, to prepare regional volunteer leaders to organize and supervise local ministry activities. The organization also produced governance and operational infrastructure supporting this training, including a staff handbook, volunteer handbook, background check policy and screening matrix, and role descriptions and accountability models for all volunteer leadership positions. All training was provided to participants free of charge and delivered by volunteers.
  4. Love in Action Social Justice Ministry, Inc. is a faith-based nonprofit that mobilizes people of faith to address modern-day injustices through nonpartisan civic education, leadership training, and community service. During the year, the organization achieved its exempt purpose through three primary programs: (1) Love Shows UpTM, a nonpartisan civic engagement and voter education campaign that produced state-specific playbooks, facilitator guides, sermon resources, a free public website, and a volunteer captain training program; (2) a church partnership and onboarding program that implemented a five-phase framework for orienting, training, and activating partner congregations, including a memorandum of understanding with the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World, Inc.; and (3) a leadership education and training program that developed a complete Regional Director training curriculum, staff and volunteer handbooks, and background check and screening policies. All programs were delivered by volunteers and all materials were provided to congregations and the public free of charge.
