Governance

This organization files the short tax form, which does not ask about boards, policies or audits. That is normal for a small charity and is not a mark against it.

Impact evidence

Describes programs. Its tax return describes what it does but we have found no measurable results in it.

Programs described in its return (3)
  1. $10,000 spent. Provided video consultations, mostly for individuals in the U.S., and held one free legal seminar in Mexico City in early 2025. Topics included asylum, legal rights, and procedures. Served ~10 in person and many more online. Met with Mexican immigration attorney and service providers to understand procedures and consequences of applying for asylum in Mexico as an alternative for Russian dissidents, persecuted and draft dodgers. These are non-revenue generating activities.
  2. $10,000 spent. Shared legal updates and answered questions on Russian-language Telegram channels for asylum seekers. Contacted other attorneys and members of the press. Reached thousands of individuals through Telegram. These are non-revenue generating activities
  3. $71,995 spent. Provided paid, discounted, legal representation for asylum cases in U.S. immigration court, BIA and USCIS. This includes legal research, trips to court and client meetings, legal writing, etc. These fee-based program services supported the organization's exempt legal-service mission and helped fund free educational and outreach activities.
