Governance

This organization files the short tax form, which does not ask about boards, policies or audits. That is normal for a small charity and is not a mark against it.

Programs described in its return (3)
  1. $23,423 spent. Funds Requests is our line item for any and all requests made from teachers, staff, or members on behalf of the students. These requests are anything from playground equipment/ toys for recess, Items for classrooms, to items for clubs like Safety Patrol and/ or groups such as band. All approvals adhere to our mission statement and must benefit multiple students. Over 48 requests this year have provided, in some manner, for all students within the school about 1400 on average throughout the year.
  2. $22,716 spent. The LEADER IN ME program provided by the Stephen Covey Company provides for a school wide leadership program and is a multi year program/ accreditation the school must meet certain requirements to maintain. This program reaches all students in the school through training to the staff/teachers and resources that benefit the student body.
  3. $4,481 spent. Teacher Appreciation provides appreciation events throughout the year to help maintain teacher confidence and moral while providing a very visible presence by the PTO. These events typically include monthly treats in the lounge and treat trolleys. Usually these are once a month, however being the inaugural year, we helped to provide for multiple events in the beginning of the year to welcome new staff. These events reach all staff to include Food Services and Custodial staff.
