- OUR LOCAL FIRE UNION IS PROUD TO BE A MEMBER OF THE INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF FIRE FIGHTERS (IAFF) AND THE PROFESSIONAL FIRE FIGHTERS OF MASSACHUSETTS (PFFM), WHICH SUPPORT OUR MISSION TO IMPROVE SAFETY AND WORKING CONDITIONS. THROUGH THESE AFFILIATIONS, WE'VE GAINED ACCESS TO LEGAL SUPPORT, COLLECTIVE BARGAINING RESOURCES, AND TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES. UNION DUES HELP FUND THESE SERVICES AND STRENGTHEN OUR ABILITY TO ADVOCATE AT THE LOCAL, STATE, AND NATIONAL LEVELS. AS A RESULT, WE'VE SUCCESSFULLY NEGOTIATED STRONGER CONTRACTS AND SECURED RESOURCES THAT DIRECTLY BENEFIT OUR MEMBERS AND THE COMMUNITY. WE'RE ALSO PROUD TO GIVE BACK THROUGH FUNDRAISERS AND OTHER CHARITABLE EVENTS THAT SUPPORT LOCAL FAMILIES.
