Financial health
We do not score finances when yearly spending is very small or the return has too little detail. The ratios stop meaning much at that size.

Governance
This organization files the short tax form, which does not ask about boards, policies or audits. That is normal for a small charity and is not a mark against it.

Programs described in its return (5)
- $33,326 spent. Education Through Music - Los Angeles (ETM-LA) is a music education program which provides instruction to all Aldama Elementary students throughout the school year (approximately 350 children). Two concerts are performed each year for families and local community, one in the winter and one in the spring. An after-school ensemble class was also offered for grades 3-5 as part of this year's instruction. ETM-LA's goal is to incorporate music education into students' daily lives, with the ultimate purpose of getting the school to recognize the importance of music education and potentially hire a music teacher through their own budgeting process. https://etmla.org/
- $8,072 spent. EnrichLA is a school gardening program where a "Garden Ranger" teaches students about our food system, the importance of good nutrition, and environmental stewardship. This program serves all Aldama Elementary students (approximately 350). Students participate in planting and maintaining the garden along with the ranger. https://www.enrichla.org/ This year we provided additional funds for EnrichLA to help us construct an outdoor classroom for students.
- $1,401 spent. We show support to our teachers, staff, and school librarian each year by providing a luncheon during Teacher-Staff Appreciation Week, as well as funds for our librarian to use at their discretion for library materials, including books and supplies.
- $4,048 spent. This year we partnered with Kodely to provide after-school STEM classes for our students. The PTA offered need-based scholarships for those families unable to cover enrollment costs. Classes focused on coding, creative problem solving, circuit creation, and other technical skills to promote STEM-based learning.
- $108 spent. Our remaining programs--astronomy night and campus beautifications--are annual events where we invite all students, family, and friends of the Aldama school community to come and enjoy our beautiful campus. Beautifications attendees helped plant natural habitat, clean up trash, and organize our outdoor space around the playground. Our annual astronomy night included STEM-based activities for students and families to participate in, as well as telescope viewings of the moon, planets, and stars. PTA funds were used to pay for activity supplies.
