Programs described in its return (1)
  1. $21.6 million spent. FY2024-2025:DURING FISCAL YEAR 2024-2025, SOUTHERN INDIAN HEALTH COUNCIL (SIHC) ADVANCED SEVERAL KEY INITIATIVES TO STRENGTHEN ORGANIZATIONAL GROWTH, EXPAND COMMUNITY IMPACT, AND ENHANCE SERVICES FOR THE COMMUNITIES WE SERVE. IN FALL 2024, SIHC'S BOARD OF DIRECTORS AND STAFF INITIATED A COMPREHENSIVE STRATEGIC PLANNING PROCESS THAT WAS FINALIZED IN 2025. THIS EFFORT ESTABLISHED A CLEAR FRAMEWORK TO GUIDE THE ORGANIZATION'S FUTURE DEVELOPMENT, PRIORITIES, AND LONG-TERM VISION FOR DELIVERING HIGH-QUALITY, CULTURALLY RESPONSIVE HEALTHCARE SERVICES.AS PART OF ITS COMMITMENT TO EXPANDING ACCESS TO CARE, SIHC PURCHASED LAND IN ALPINE, CALIFORNIA, TO SUPPORT FUTURE ORGANIZATIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND THE CONTINUED DELIVERY OF COMPREHENSIVE HEALTHCARE AND COMMUNITY SERVICES. THIS INVESTMENT REPRESENTS AN IMPORTANT STEP TOWARD MEETING THE GROWING NEEDS OF THE COMMUNITY FOR GENERATIONS TO COME.IN OCTOBER 2024, SIHC SUCCESSFULLY HOSTED ITS ANNUAL NATIVE AMERICAN HEALTH AND WELLNESS CONFERENCE, WELCOMING MORE THAN 300 ATTENDEES. THE CONFERENCE PROVIDED VALUABLE HEALTH EDUCATION AND COMMUNITY RESOURCES WHILE BRINGING TOGETHER COMMUNITY MEMBERS. SIHC ALSO CONTINUED ITS TRADITION OF HOSTING COMMUNITY CENTERED EVENTS, INCLUDING THE HIGHLY ANTICIPATED WINTER WONDERLAND CELEBRATION AND THE ANNUAL SPRING GATHERING, BOTH OF WHICH PROMOTED ENGAGEMENT, CULTURAL CONNECTION, WELLNESS, AND FAMILY PARTICIPATION.IN EARLY 2025, SIHC LAUNCHED EFFORTS TO ESTABLISH THE SIHC TRIBAL SPONSORSHIP PROGRAM. THE PURPOSE OF THIS PROGRAM IS TO IMPROVE ACCESS TO HEALTHCARE SERVICES FOR ELIGIBLE TRIBAL MEMBERS. THIS INITIATIVE REFLECTS SIHC'S ONGOING COMMITMENT TO ADDRESSING HEALTHCARE NEEDS AND INCREASING OPPORTUNITIES FOR PATIENTS TO RECEIVE NECESSARY MEDICAL CARE.IN 2025, SIHC LAUNCHED THE SPECIALTY ACCESS PROGRAM, AN INITIATIVE DESIGNED TO IMPROVE ACCESS TO SPECIALTY HEALTHCARE SERVICES FOR NATIVE AMERICAN AND COMMUNITY PATIENTS. THROUGH THIS PROGRAM, PATIENTS GAINED EXPEDITED ACCESS TO A VARIETY OF AMBULATORY SPECIALTY SERVICES, INCLUDING DERMATOLOGY, ENDOCRINOLOGY, AND CARDIOLOGY, WITH MANY APPOINTMENTS AVAILABLE WITHIN THE SAME WEEK.IN 2025, SIHC REFRESHED ITS ORGANIZATIONAL BRAND AND INTRODUCED ITS NEW SLOGAN, "WE OWN WELLNESS" (WOW), REINFORCING THE ORGANIZATION'S MISSION AND COMMITMENT TO COMMUNITY HEALTH AND WELLNESS. ENHANCED MARKETING AND OUTREACH EFFORTS EXPANDED SIHC'S VISIBILITY THROUGHOUT THE REGION, INCLUDING RECOGNITION THROUGH LOCAL NEWS COVERAGE, INCREASING AWARENESS OF AVAILABLE SERVICES AND PROGRAMS. THROUGHOUT THE FISCAL YEAR, SIHC CONTINUED TO BUILD UPON ITS ACHIEVEMENTS AND STRENGTHEN ITS CAPACITY TO PROVIDE EXCEPTIONAL HEALTHCARE, OUTREACH, AND SUPPORT SERVICES TO THE COMMUNITIES IT SERVES.
