Financial health

We do not score finances when yearly spending is very small or the return has too little detail. The ratios stop meaning much at that size.

Governance

This return does not answer enough of the governance questions to score.

Impact evidence

Describes programs. Its tax return describes what it does but we have found no measurable results in it.

Programs described in its return (5)
  1. CALIFORNIA BUSINESS CLIMATE: ADVOCATED IN THE CALIFORNIA LEGISLATURE AND WITH KEY OPINION LEADERS THE IMPORTANCES OF A STRONG AND RESILIENT CALIFORNIA ECONOMY. TOOK POSITIONS ON LEGISLATION, SPOKE TO THE MEDIA, ISSUED PRESS RELEASES, AND INFORMED OUR MEMBERS OF POLICIES AND POLITICAL ACTIONS THAT WOULD AFFECT BUSINESSES' ABILITY TO GROW AND HIRE IN CALIFORNIA.
  2. AFFORDABILITY: SERVED AS A COUNTERBALANCE TO EFFORTS WITHIN THE LEGISLATURE THAT INCREASE COSTS ON WORKING CALIFORNIANS. FROM HOUSING TO HEALTHCARE, NUMEROUS PROPOSALS WOULD HAVE PLACED EVEN HIGHER COST BURDENS ON WORKING CALIFORNIANS. HIGHLIGHTED THE IMPORTANCE OF PREDICTABLE TAX POLICY AND THE IMPACT OF ENERGY POLICY ON THE COST OF LIVING.
  3. ECONOMIC RECOVERY: QUANTIFIED THE STATE'S ECONOMIC RECOVERY IN KEY CONTEXTS, INCLUDING THE LACK OF PRIVATE SECTOR JOB GROWTH. PROVIDED KEY DATA TO LEGISLATORS AND THE PUBLIC ABOUT BARRIERS TO ECONOMIC RECOVERY, JOB LOSS, AND BUSINESS RELOCATION.
  4. ENERGY AFFORDABILITY: CONTINUED TO BE A VOICE FOR AFFORDABILITY AND RELIABILITY WITH RESPECT TO CALIFORNIA ENERGY POLICIES THROUGH CARE COALITION LEADERSHIP. USED DATA FROM THE CENTER FOR JOBS AND THE ECONOMY TO OPPOSE MAJOR PIECES OF LEGISLATION THAT WOULD HAVE NEGATIVELY IMPACTED ENERGY COSTS.
  5. INTERNATIONAL TRADE AND GOODS MOVEMENT: SUPPORTED EFFORTS AT THE FEDERAL LEVEL TO INCREASE FREE AND FAIR INTERNATIONAL TRADE. ADVOCATED FOR A RESILIENT GOODS MOVEMENT SECTOR, INCLUDING HOSTING NATIONAL MEETINGS REGARDING THE STATE'S PORTS AND THEIR IMPORTANCE BOTH NATIONALLY AND INTERNATIONALLY. ALSO WORKED ON TRADE ISSUES AT THE STATE LEVEL, INCLUDING THE IMPACT OF MAJOR CLIMATE CHANGE REGULATIONS.
