- $3.2 million spent. GUARANTEED INCOMEINLAND SOCAL UNITED WAY IS TESTING GUARANTEED INCOME AS A TOOL TO POSITIVELY AFFECT LIFE TRAJECTORIES. THIS MODEL ASSISTS INDIVIDUALS AT CRITICAL LIFE STAGES WHERE FINANCIAL SECURITY IS CRUCIAL IN DETERMINING LONG-TERM OUTCOMES FOR BOTH INDIVIDUALS AND COMMUNITIES. CURRENTLY, THIS WORK IS ACCOMPLISHED UNDER THE CALIFORNIA STATEWIDE GUARANTEED INCOME PILOT WITH BLENDED FUNDING FROM MULTIPLE PARTNERS. THE PILOT USES A RANDOMIZED CONTROLLED TRIAL TO TEST AND EVALUATE THE EFFICACY AND OUTCOMES OF GUARANTEED INCOME ON EMPLOYMENT, HEALTH, PREGNANCY AND EARLY CHILDHOOD, AND OTHER AREAS OF LIFE. THE PILOT RUNS FOR 18 MONTHS AND STARTED IN 2024. ENROLLMENT IS NOW CLOSED BECAUSE IT IS AT CAPACITY. RESULTS ARE ANTICIPATED FOR PUBLICATION IN 2026. FOR 2024, WE WERE ABLE TO PROVIDE FUNDING TO 409 PREGNANT PERSONS AND 35 FOSTER YOUTH.
