- IN THE SANFRANSISCO BAY AREA THERE HAS BEEN AN URGENT NEED FOR SUPPORT FOR HOMELESS FAMILIES AND INDIVIDUALS. BUTTERCUP WAS ABLE TO STEP UP AND MEET MANY NEEDS. WE PROVIDED WEEKLY MUFFINS, BISCUITS FORTIFIED WITH MEAT , GARDEN VEGETABLES, CHEESE. VOLUNTEER HANDMADE BLANKETS, SCARVES, AND DONATED COATS.
- OUR SCHOOL IN GUATEMALA MADE GREAT PROGRESS THIS YEAR. WE HAVE FORMED A LEADERSHIP TEAM WITH LUNA BARRENO LEADING THE TEAM. LUNA BARRENO HAS AN ESTABLISHED SCHOOL, TEACHES ENGLISH, THAT WE ALSO SUPPORT. A YOUNG BOY BORN UNABLE TO HEAR HAD A HEARING AID REPLACED BY A DONOR. WE HELP WITH HIS SCHOOL TRANSPORTTION NEEDS. THE YOUNG BOY HAS HEARING AIDS AND IS LEARNING TO SPEAK IN SCHOOL.
- THE FARM FACILITY PROVIDED PROGRAM SUPPORT FOR SEVERAL BAY AREA ORGANIZATIONS INCLUDING A BAY AREA GROUP TO HOST A MEETING FOR INSPIRATIONAL TALK, LUNCH AND RECREATION. THE FAM CONTINUES TO HOST HOLIDAY ACTIVITIES FOR THOSE THAT DO NOT HAVE TRADITIONAL FAMILY TIES. CONNECTING PEOPLE TO MEET EACH OTHERS NEEDS, ZOOM ART PROGRAM (TEACHER AND STUDENT) PROVIDED A PLACE FOR FAMILY AND FRIENDS TO REST, VISIT, RECOOPERATE.
