Programs described in its return (3)
  1. $29,910 spent. Encourage the participation of women in the geosciences through scholarships and mentoring. Scholarships were awarded to 32 students, AWG memberships were granted to 16 individuals as a result of their participation, and many hundreds of pre-college students were reached through classroom projects, field studies, and science fairs.
  2. $11,771 spent. Exchange educational, technical, and professional information in conferences and workshops. Awards include recognition of outstanding educators, travel grants, research grants, and recognition of graduate and undergraduate student excellence.
