Impact evidence

Describes programs. Its tax return describes what it does but we have found no measurable results in it.

Programs described in its return (2)
  1. $340,822 spent. In our 45th season, Chamber Music in Napa Valley presented ten concerts from November 2025 to April 2026, featuring Paul Lewis, the Takcs Quartet, the Jupiter and Jasper String Quartets, Garrick Ohlsson, Emanuel Ax, Yefim Bronfman, Cuarteto Casals, Louis Lortie, Benjamin Grosvenor, and the Vertavo String Quartet. More than 175 donors contributed almost $150,000, and our commitment to keeping concerts affordable and accessible means ticket sales make up less than 1/3 of the budget, with the balance carried by donors and the endowment. CMNV continued its deep support of new music this year, with commissions from Anders Hillborgs Piano Concerto, Marc-Andr Hamelin, Anna Clyne, and a co-commission from Clarice Assad with the Takcs Quartet, and a new arrangement of Dvork by Thomas Prechal.
  2. $46,441 spent. The music in the schools program brought world-class artists into Napa schools for outreach concerts, introducing young audiences to classical music. This program is now in cooperation with Music in the Vineyards.
