Financial health
We do not score finances when yearly spending is very small or the return has too little detail. The ratios stop meaning much at that size.

Governance
This organization files the short tax form, which does not ask about boards, policies or audits. That is normal for a small charity and is not a mark against it.

Programs described in its return (3)
- $77,944 spent. Shared City originated the Nonprofit Equipping Pathway in 2024 and continued to significantly develop and expand its programming throughout 2025. The pathway is an ongoing, multi-program continuum for nonprofit founders and emerging leaders in the Greater Charleston region. In 2025, Shared City advanced the pathway through the launch of a free Personal Readiness Assessment (available digitally via SharedCityCHS.org), the release of an initial series of six downloadable Nonprofit EquipGuides, a 1.5-day Nonprofit Learning Lab workshop offered on a scholarship-funded, pay-what-you-can basis, and the delivery of 68 hours of scholarship-funded one-on-one nonprofit leadership coaching. These programs collectively reduce barriers to professional development for capacity-strapped nonprofit leaders and strengthen organizational health across the local charitable ecosystem, with additional programming planned for continued development in future years.
- Shared City developed and launched its proprietary "Effective Charity 101" curriculum a three-hour, action-oriented workshop offered quarterly to donors, volunteers, nonprofit staff, and community members. Shared City also launched a multi-platform digital education program and developed the "Invitation to Support" resource card, which was adopted by the North Charleston Police Department, the Charleston County Sheriff's Office, and multiple Charleston County Public Library branches for community distribution.
- Shared City began active development of the "Shared Confidence" Badge and Designation program in partnership with locally-based charitable organizations and pilot nonprofits. This community-wide designation is being designed to provide transparency, accountability, and a shared standard for effective, trustworthy nonprofit practices helping donors and volunteers give and serve with greater confidence while incentivizing nonprofit excellence across the region.
