Governance

This organization files the short tax form, which does not ask about boards, policies or audits. That is normal for a small charity and is not a mark against it.

Impact evidence

Describes programs. Its tax return describes what it does but we have found no measurable results in it.

Programs described in its return (2)
  1. $56,123 spent. Mobile forced-air evaporative cooling chamber for smallholder farmers and produce vendors. Funded by Energy Saving Trust, CoolVeg trained local organizations in Nigeria and India to construct cooling chambers. This project is expected to directly benefit ~30 people, with the potential to benefit thousands when replicated.
  2. $5,398 spent. The primary objective of this project was to promote better employment outcomes among clay potters, vegetable farmers, and vegetable traders. The project also had a research objective, which was to better understand the potential of new methods for promoting clay pot coolers, which could widen the scope for action and large-scale diffusion of clay pot coolers in the Sahel region by development projects and other stakeholders, including government and business membership organizations. These new promotion methods tested in this project were documented and will be used as part of further efforts for the promotion of clay pot coolers.
