Financial health

We do not score finances when yearly spending is very small or the return has too little detail. The ratios stop meaning much at that size.

Governance

This organization files the short tax form, which does not ask about boards, policies or audits. That is normal for a small charity and is not a mark against it.

Impact evidence

Describes programs. Its tax return describes what it does but we have found no measurable results in it.

Programs described in its return (5)
  1. $32,754 spent. HFTCs largest program helps to fund the work of the Peace Center a place of refuge prayer & counseling. During 2025 the following was accomplished: 450 students attended the Peace Center school most of them are from the Rwampara Internally Displaced Peoples camp where there is no education available. These students received instruction and structure that they do not receive in the camp. 1050 people received skills training sewing embroidery basket weaving and trauma counseling. The people who come for training are internally displaced people in the Bunia area due to fighting between rebel groups. This skills training gives participants practical ways to earn an income. Other activities for healing included sports activities Bible studies and prayer time. In 2025 the Peace Center also hosted multiple events that trained 15,760 young people on peace-building strategies for their communities as well as Christian discipleship. This training helps to prevent the youth from joining the rebel groups who are responsible for violence in northeastern Democratic Republic of Congo.
  2. $12,367 spent. HFTC sponsors a monthly meal for the residents of the Internally Displaced Persons Camp near the Peace Center. We provided 25,790 meals in 2025. From photos emails and phone calls we know this meal has made a huge difference in the lives of the displaced: not only does it provide valuable nourishment but it also gives the displaced an opportunity to share worship and emotional support. Those who are fed usually come from Rwampara IDP Camp.
  3. $8,950 spent. HFTC provided funding for the Baraka Academy at the Bunia Childrens Hope Center. Our support in 2025 was given to renovate classrooms and to purchase a router for the carpentry workshop. This school had a total enrollment of 1685 students of whom 438 are orphans and 1247 pay tuition. By renovating the classrooms the school was able to attract more paying students improving the operating income of the school and allowing it to serve more students who are unable to pay. Students at the school have general education English math technology and reading lab studies at Bunia General Hospital and practical skills training.
  4. $8,000 spent. HFTC supported the ministry to the street children of Bunia. In 2025 1570 orphans were provided with food clothing and were able to watch the Jesus Film. This program gives these orphaned children hope sustenance and instruction about the word of God.
  5. $3,000 spent. Sent funds for ongoing work on a new building the House of Prayer. This facility will be able to accommodate about 5x the number of people who need assistance compared to the current small building and will have offices for private prayer and counseling. The building will also be able to accommodate larger worship services and to allow people temporary shelter.
