Financial health

We do not score finances when yearly spending is very small or the return has too little detail. The ratios stop meaning much at that size.

Governance

This organization files the short tax form, which does not ask about boards, policies or audits. That is normal for a small charity and is not a mark against it.

Impact evidence

Describes programs. Its tax return describes what it does but we have found no measurable results in it.

Programs described in its return (2)
  1. Berry Cool Farm was established Summer 2023 and is currently in its infancy stage. The purpose of this farm is to provide locally sourced produce to the local community through permaculture design. Any good farmer knows that healthy soil and biodiversity is essential to the production of quality produce. Therefore, over the past year, Berry Cool Farm has been clearing land, building soil, and establishing no-mow, edible systems. In doing so, BCF has donated produce to local schools and community members alike. We are simply in our beginning stages and hope to provide more produce as the land gains norishment.

Our first true year of operation was 2024. In this year we increased farmable land by planting out new fruit trees and various crops. During 2024 we planted an avocado orchard, citrus orchard, banana orchard, berry patches, and a guava grove. For 2025 we are hoping to expand two more orchards as well as introducing egg laying chickens. In addition to farm expansion, we were able to sell $1,214 worth of produce and donate $3,451 worth of produce. All produce was either sold at the local farmers market or facebook marketplace or was donated to local schools and missions. The aim for next year is to increase farmable land, produce production, and start brining groups onto property for service learning days.
