- $2.7 million spent. FOR 105 YEARS, THE JEWISH FEDERATION OF GREATER PORTLAND HAS CONTINUED TO FULFILL ITS MISSION TO SERVE AND STRENGTHEN OUR JEWISH COMMUNITY. THANKS TO THE EXTRAORDINARY GENEROSITY OF OUR DONORS, THE JEWISH FEDERATION WORKED TIRELESSLY IN 20242025 TO ADVANCE JEWISH LIFE LOCALLY AND AROUND THE WORLD, WHILE MEETING BOTH EMERGING AND ONGOING COMMUNITY NEEDS. IN 20242025, THE FEDERATION BUILT UPON THE RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE JEWISH COMMUNITY STUDY WHILE CONTINUING TO RESPOND TO THE LASTING IMPACT OF OCTOBER 7. THE COMMUNITY REMAINED UNITED IN SOLIDARITY WITH ISRAEL AND IN ITS COMMITMENT TO SAFETY, RESILIENCE, AND CONNECTION. KEY INITIATIVES INCLUDED THE ANNUAL CAMPAIGN FOR COMMUNITY NEEDS, CONTINUED SUPPORT THROUGH THE ISRAEL EMERGENCY FUND, AND TARGETED INVESTMENTS TO STRENGTHEN SECURITY, COMBAT ANTISEMITISM, AND EXPAND PROGRAMS THAT FOSTER JEWISH ENGAGEMENT ACROSS ALL AGES. THROUGH THE GENEROSITY OF THOUSANDS OF CONTRIBUTORS AND STRATEGIC PHILANTHROPIC PARTNERSHIPS, THE FEDERATION CONTINUED TO MOBILIZE MILLIONS OF DOLLARS TO SUPPORT ESSENTIAL SERVICES, EDUCATION, SOCIAL CONNECTION, AND CARE FOR VULNERABLE POPULATIONS LOCALLY, IN ISRAEL, AND AROUND THE WORLD. THIS WORK IS MADE POSSIBLE BY DEDICATED VOLUNTEER LEADERS, COMMUNAL PROFESSIONALS, AND THE UNWAVERING SUPPORT OF OUR DONORS, ENSURING A STRONG, VIBRANT, AND SECURE JEWISH FUTURE FOR GREATER PORTLAND.

KEY COMPONENTS INCLUDE CONDUCTING REGULAR NEEDS ASSESSMENTS TO IDENTIFY EVOLVING CHALLENGES AND OPPORTUNITIES IN AREAS SUCH AS EDUCATION, SOCIAL SERVICES, CULTURAL PROGRAMMING, AND ADVOCACY. BASED ON THESE INSIGHTS, THE PROGRAM SETS STRATEGIC PRIORITIES, SUCH AS INCREASING ACCESS TO JEWISH EDUCATION, ENHANCING ELDER CARE SERVICES, OR DEVELOPING INITIATIVES TO COMBAT ANTISEMITISM.
