Governance

This organization files the short tax form, which does not ask about boards, policies or audits. That is normal for a small charity and is not a mark against it.

Impact evidence

Programs described in its return (1)
  1. $1,706 spent. ICCD actively involves diverse groups and creates partnerships to identify projects, share leadership roles, and develop community action teams, activities or events. Action teams include (a) College Food Security (collaborating with the campus food pantries at University of Michigan Dearborn and Henry Ford Community College to actively respond to student food insecurity), (b) Environment (holding forums to build awareness of the lifelong health risks of contaminants and raising awareness throughout the community about environmental health), (c) Music (offering diverse musical experiences filled with fellowship and learning), and (d) Educational forums about peacemakers in Palestine-Israel. Sponsored events include an Earth Day Sustainability Swap in April bringing together people and organizations working on environmental justice projects, and the Juneteenth weekend long celebration in Dearborn. New action teams and events are formed as community partners identify community education and service needs and collaborate to identify funds, leaders, and volunteers to support new action teams, projects and events. These activities involved more than 40 community service organizations and more than 200 individuals.
