Impact evidence

Describes programs. Its tax return describes what it does but we have found no measurable results in it.

Programs described in its return (4)
  1. $53,288 spent. WIMN engaged in policy development concerning issues of migration and gender, particularly with the intersections of climate change, workers' rights and more. Research and analysis was conducted towards articulating a feminist migration policy and agenda, examining global, regional, national and local dimensions and engaging grassrooots and sector-based groups, advocates and activists. In particular, WIMN published an analysis of women in migration 30 years after the UN Conference on Women. WIMN also initiated development of the Spotlight Report on Migration in conjunction with the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung, towards the International Migration Review Forum in 2026.
  2. $45,675 spent. Women in Migration Network collaborated with other non-governmental organizations, international agencies and other governmental institutions working on similar issues, and co-coordinated activities to advance shared goals and objectives concerning gender and migration. This coordinated, global advocacy included activities at the UN Commission on the Status of Women, the Global Forum on Migration and Development, the UN Network on Migration gender workstream, and partnership with the FeMig Project at Wilfrid Laurier University in Canada. WIMN members participated in numerous other fora, both virtual and in-person, providing analyses and advocacy proposals, and provided written contributions towards international reports and briefings, including critical input to a report by the UN Special Rapporteur on Migration.
  3. $30,450 spent. Women in Migration Network's educational and awareness-raising activities included sharing with members and allies research, analysis and commentaries on issues related to gender and migration, climate change and workers' rights. WIMN convened two global webinars on climate change, displacement and migration and produced graphic summaries from each. We routinely shared relevant news, analyses and educational resources on our website and through broad email distribution and social media.
  4. $22,837 spent. Women in Migration Network convened representatives in its Leadership in Global Advocacy program (LIGA) for grassroots leadership. WIMN conducted an interactive evaluation of two years of the pilot program, including a final report with recommendations for the program's future development. Eight of the grassroots organizations in LIGA joined WIMN as members.
