Financial health

We do not score finances when yearly spending is very small or the return has too little detail. The ratios stop meaning much at that size.

Governance

This organization files the short tax form, which does not ask about boards, policies or audits. That is normal for a small charity and is not a mark against it.

Impact evidence

Describes programs. Its tax return describes what it does but we have found no measurable results in it.

Programs described in its return (1)
  1. $11,200 spent. In this fiscal year, Compost Casa leveraged $11,400 in grants to expand the reach of its deep bedding compost program and hands on education efforts. Grant funds covered workshop materials, garden infrastructure, and volunteer supplies that enabled us to 1) compost 1,000 + lb of food waste, diverting organics from landfill 2) deliver two public workshops on composting and regenerative agriculture 3) host field experiences that engaged 100 + students and community members from local schools, 4H, and FFA clubs and 4) establish pollinator and vegetable garden plots that now serve as living classrooms for soil health demonstrations and biodiversity lessons. These improvements strengthened our capacity to teach practical, regenerative techniques while turning everyday waste into a resource that nourishes the land and our community.
