Financial health

We do not score finances when yearly spending is very small or the return has too little detail. The ratios stop meaning much at that size.

Governance

This organization files the short tax form, which does not ask about boards, policies or audits. That is normal for a small charity and is not a mark against it.

Impact evidence

Programs described in its return (2)
  1. $2,194 spent. The primary activity of the organization is the promotion of lifestyle enhancing opportunities and communication within the Lake Ashton Community, primarily through the operation and maintenance of the LakeAshtonLiving.com website. Activities promoted are those occurring within the Lake Ashton Community Development District and Lake Ashton II Community Development District located in Lake Wales FL and Winter Haven FL respectively. Almost 100 percent of the organization's time is spent overseeing the day-to-day operation and maintenance of the LakeAshtonLiving.com website, ensuring it remains up-to-date, user-friendly, and informative. To date, website expenses (domain registration, hosting, and software) are funded 100 percent from donations. The labor to administer and update the website is by unpaid volunteers although the board may employ professional staff as it deems necessary. There are approximately 2300 registered users of the website.
  2. In support of the primary activity, educational events are conducted for community members to familiarize themselves with the website's features. Several classes are offered to members during the year, and they run approximately 1.5 to 2 hours per session with approximately 20 people per session in attendance. Quarterly New Resident Orientation sessions are held at one of the community clubhouses. Engaging with newcomers highlights the benefits of utilizing the website as a valuable community resource. The sessions are offered quarterly and run approximately 1 hour with approximately 40 people per session attending. The website is demonstrated at the annual Community Club Fair held at one of the clubhouses to showcase its features and assist residents with new registrations and troubleshooting. This activity serves to reinforce awareness of the website among current members and attract new members. This event is between 2-3 hours long (less than 1 percent) and is attended by over 400 people. There is no cost associated for any of these activities because it is staffed by unpaid volunteers.
