Financial health
We do not score finances when yearly spending is very small or the return has too little detail. The ratios stop meaning much at that size.

Governance
This organization files the short tax form, which does not ask about boards, policies or audits. That is normal for a small charity and is not a mark against it.

SKANRF.org FY2025 Annual SummaryThe Sarah Kyle Anorexia Nervosa Research Foundation (SKANRF.org)By the close of FY2024, the Sarah Kyle Anorexia Nervosa Research Foundation (SKANRF.org) achieved a foundational milestone by reviewing 20 international pre-proposals and awarding its inaugural $50,000 research grant to a multidisciplinary consortium led by Texas Tech University. As FY2024 concluded, the Foundation finalized funding mechanisms and contractual arrangements, fully executing its first major research commitment.During FY2025, the Foundation continued to support this inaugural grant, funding a collaborative research consortium involving Texas Tech University, Vanderbilt University Medical Center, and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. The research teams provided regular progress updates and presented preliminary findings at national and international scientific conferences, contributing to the broader eating-disorder research community.Building on the grant adjudication framework established in FY2024, SKANRF.org participated in its second International Conference on Eating Disorders (ICED), held in San Antonio, Texas, in May 2025, where the Foundation announced its second $50,000 research grant call. This grant opportunity was made possible through a generous family donation of $50,000 from Garry Kyle Sr. The call generated 20 pre-proposals from researchers in eight countries, reflecting growing international recognition of the Foundation and its grant process. By the end of FY2025, all submissions had been reviewed by the Medical & Scientific Advisory Board (MSAB), and four finalist teams were invited to submit full proposals now under final review. In FY2025, the Foundation initiated website upgrades to improve accessibility and donor engagement and adopted the simplified public-facing name SKAN Research Foundation, while retaining its legal name, The Sarah Kyle Anorexia Nervosa Research Foundation (SKANRF).The Foundation strengthened its leadership and governance during FY2025 with the unanimous appointment of John Campbell, JD, to the Board of Directors. The Medical & Scientific Advisory Board was expanded to include Dr. Walter Kaye and Dr. Richard Insel, enhancing scientific oversight and review capacity. The Foundation also engaged two part-time interns to support educational content development, donor communications, and operational activities.Throughout the year, SKANRF.org continued to receive donor support through its website and private contributions, enabling sustained operations and expanded research funding.SummaryBy the close of FY2025, SKANRF.org was supporting independent research programs across three leading academic and medical institutions focused on understanding the causes of anorexia nervosa. The Foundation remains committed to expanding its donor base and accelerating research with the goal of significantly reducing, and ultimately eliminating, anorexia nervosarelated mortality within the next decade.Respectfully submitted,David J.
