What it says it does

Misfit Felines is a nonprofit rescue and advocacy group whose goal is to help at-risk felines and reduce the homeless cat population. Our fosters provide a safe place for the unwanted, the special needs, the feral, the motherless, and the strange. Our team are all unpaid volunteers who are passionate about animal welfare. All cats are altered, vaccinated, microchipped, and tested for FeLV/FIV prior to adoption.

Impact evidence

Describes programs. Its tax return describes what it does but we have found no measurable results in it.

Programs described in its return (1)
  1. $270,769 spent. Adoption and humane veterinary care: In 2024 we found adoptive homes and facilitated veterinary care for over 600 cats in our care. Most of these cats were at-risk either due to age (neonate or senior), illness, injuries, temperament or special needs. These cats came to us as rescue and shelter transfers, We also provided low cost third-party spay and veterinary care for the community upon request. As part of our commitment to increasing adoptions and reducing returns, in 2024 we implemented a care packet and post-adoption support outreach.
