Governance

This organization files the short tax form, which does not ask about boards, policies or audits. That is normal for a small charity and is not a mark against it.

Impact evidence

Describes programs. Its tax return describes what it does but we have found no measurable results in it.

Programs described in its return (3)
  1. $6,200 spent. Prayer Ministry - prayer for individuals, neighborhoods (prayer walking) and nations (foreign and domestic). Connector for those in rural communities. Open to all. Home community population 7,990. Volunteer run.
  2. $131,000 spent. Media focused around community focused LPFM radio and school activities broadcasting. School program designed to allow businesses to support students by sponsoring avoiding the need to spend tax payer dollars. School donates a portion of those proceeds to our organization which then engages students in support of the media streams. Students have the opportunity to earn monies and some continue beyond the sports seasons. Facebook engagement of 20 - 40K monthly dependent on season. YouTube 25K views per month during school year.
  3. $15,000 spent. Kindness Kits - addressing hygiene insecurity by providing hygiene basics at no cost to rural consumers via the outlets they already interact with including pantries, public schools, law enforcement and libraries. Launched January 2023. Provided more the 19000 items via 29 agencies in 7 counties in Calendar 2023. Participated in back to school backpack give aways to ensure students felt good about their hygiene as they returned to the classroom. Towards the end of the fiscal year recognized that some individuals were falling through the cracks so launched a hygiene essentials program to allow those at 200% of poverty level and less to partake of our program without needing to be patrons of a local pantry or school. Continue to focus on rural communities. Currently run by prayer room volunteers. Program expenses listed reflect overhead associated with item storage kit packing and distribution. Expenses are reduced due to shared space but are continuing to increase as more communities are requesting support.
