Programs described in its return (3)
- $105,590 spent. Leadership Development and Civic Engagement: Spokane Alliance strengthened civic participation by developing community leaders to take collective action for the common good. Through table talks with approximately 300 participants, the Alliance identified shared priorities and concerns across Spokane. From this process, approximately 70 volunteer leaders formed teams focused on housing equity, youth and education, quality jobs. In addition, we continued our efforts to build partnerships with Indigenous partners. Together, these efforts expanded leadership capacity within member institutions and built stronger relationships across sectors.
- $70,393 spent. Public Dollars for Public Benefit Ordinance: Spokane Alliance organized over 200 people to advocate for a Community Workforce Agreement ordinance establishing strong labor and equity standards for publicly funded construction projects at the City of Spokane. The ordinance ensures that public dollars create public benefit by supporting family-wage jobs and prioritizing hiring from low-income zip codes and underrepresented communities. This campaign reflects Spokane Alliance's commitment to linking good jobs with equitable access to opportunity.
