Governance

This organization files the short tax form, which does not ask about boards, policies or audits. That is normal for a small charity and is not a mark against it.

Impact evidence

Describes programs. Its tax return describes what it does but we have found no measurable results in it.

Programs described in its return (2)
  1. $30,363 spent. Brier Elementary has about 400 students that attend the school. Our PTA promotes and supports various family engagement and student programs. We promote reading throughout the year by purchasing books for library through a regular grant we provide as well as hosting a bookfair. Throughout the year we created a sense of community by hosting movie nights, having a Family Literacy Night and offering popcorn days. Special programs also made possibly by our PTA are Art in Action, Unicycle Club, Move 55, Garden Club, and Bobcat Cave. This year we also provided a new performing arts program that allowed students to perform a musical through a theater production company.
  2. $9,020 spent. We enrich student educational curriculum throughout the year by providing funding to teachers and specialists. Each teacher/specialist is provided a $300 classroom grant with documentation showing how the funds were spent. Additional grants are also provided and approved by the PTA based on a grant application process. Field trip scholarships are also provided for students in need.
