Impact evidence

Programs described in its return (3)
- $30,485 spent. With the help of donations received from the Lewis County community, we were able to purchase and pay for training for a canine to be used for the Lewis County Sheriff's Office K-9 unit. Trained K-9 (canine) Officers, along with their Law Enforcement handlers greatly enhance law enforcement capabilities in various ways, including drug detection, explosive detection, tracking and recovering missing persons and the apprehension of suspects. Having a K-9 (canine) Officer and their Handler allows the Lewis County Sheriff's Office to create a safer community for the 86,150 people that call Lewis County, Washington home.
- $10,935 spent. The Lewis County Sheriff's Office Association hosts a Shop with a Cop event every December, which in 2024, was a positive experience for twenty-eight (28) underprivileged children and their families from our community as they were able to purchase Christmas gifts for themselves as well as their household members. This is achieved by providing the funds necessary to purchase the gifts, as well as the Association Members donating their personal time to take the children shopping, wrap the children's gifts for them and hosting a pizza party afterwards with games of Bingo and prizes.
- $2,500 spent. The Lewis County Sheriff's Office Association awarded scholarship funds to three (3) outstanding teens in the community.
