Impact evidence

Describes programs. Its tax return describes what it does but we have found no measurable results in it.

Programs described in its return (4)
  1. $1.4 million spent. Excellence Academy: The primary program offered by EI is the running of the school. Most of the volunteer's time in the past years have been spent in the creation and establishment of the school. The Montessori teaching method has been implemented in the school with careful review and continues to make progress till grade 6. 2024 was a critical year where we further developed our high school program especially in restructuring how the school would work. Time was also spent on further revisions of the primary and elementary curriculum. EA team continues their work to further develop construction plans for land purchased for the school and construction started in the current year
  2. Summer Children Programs were offered where children from local public schools, MSE or from homeschooling were shown behavioral examples and to go out and help in the community. Several day's activities where all the children attended, old people's home to assist the individuals there and clean up garbage from local parks or cleaning the local masjid. No expenses as most of the cost were borne by volunteers and not submitted for reimbursement or requested tax donations.
  3. Parenting and Growth Development Workshops: Several regular parental growth development plans were initiated in 2024, with over 30 parents taking this participating in them. Additional educational and motivational workshops and speeches were also offered. It was again well received and several parents requested additional workshops that have been discussed and plans are to work with another organization to assist and support this activity.
  4. $36,482 spent. Curriculum Development: Staff and volunteers have continued to work on the modified curriculum for the educational foundation. The curriculum is being piloted with the primary classes and will continued to be developed over the course of the next few years so that it can be marketed to homeschooling families. Some of this was paid work however most expenses were deferred for 2025 calendar due to reduced revenue in the current year with approval from staff and volunteers.
