What it says it does

The Butler Foundation, formed in memory of Kevin & Jay Butler, works to improve awareness, education, research, treatments and family support for Mesothelioma. It was originally formed in memory of Kevin J. Butler (1957 2006) who lost his battle with the disease in 2006. In 2009, Kevins older brother, John E. "Jay" (1949-2009), who had been fighting the disease for over 12 years, also succumbed to Mesothelioma. The Foundation works tirelessly to honor the legacies that both Jay and Kevin leave behind. Our goal is, and always will be, to remember Kevin and Jay while helping to find a cure for this rare and aggressive form of cancer.

Financial health

We do not score finances when yearly spending is very small or the return has too little detail. The ratios stop meaning much at that size.

Governance

This organization files the short tax form, which does not ask about boards, policies or audits. That is normal for a small charity and is not a mark against it.
