Programs described in its return (1)
  1. $347,459 spent. Mobilify Southwestern Pennsylvania works to revitalize the region?s transportation system by expanding safe, affordable, and less auto-dependent ways for people to get around. We partner with local governments, transportation agencies, community groups, and riders to advance an equitable, resilient mobility network where all communities can thrive. During the year, Mobilify led a major education and advocacy effort around the statewide transit funding crisis. We explained the impacts of proposed service cuts and fare changes, produced accessible materials on state funding proposals, and supported residents and organizations in testifying at public hearings, responding to surveys, and contacting decision-makers. Mobilify also co-organized a ?Save Our Service? rally with partner organizations, bringing together riders, workers, advocates, and elected officials to call for stable, expanded transit funding. Mobilify advanced regional learning and coordination through events such as TransportationCampPGH, a breakfast series on the future of transit, and a seminar series helping municipalities implement transit-oriented development tools. Through our Municipal Outreach Program, we presented at local meetings, held one-on-one consultations, and provided follow-up technical assistance to help municipalities identify mobility projects and funding opportunities. The organization?s decarbonizing transportation initiative contributed to coalitions focused on equitable vehicle electrification, rethinking transportation funding, and shifting trips to transit, walking, and biking. Campaigns such as Week Without Driving raised awareness of the needs of residents who do not drive. Throughout the year, Mobilify maintained a robust communications program, including blogs, guides, and other resources that help residents and public officials understand regional mobility challenges and solutions.
