Impact evidence

Describes programs. Its tax return describes what it does but we have found no measurable results in it.

Programs described in its return (1)
  1. $214,640 spent. During the year the organization completed McElroy Phase 1 Project that improved the lives of 5 low income families by providing $782,592.84 worth of safe, energy efficient, affordable housing. New construction of two duplexes with 2 Bedrooms, 1.5 bathrooms and 1 single family home with 3 Bedrooms and 2 baths equipped with washer and dryer, dishwasher, refrigerator, stove and a garage were developed. All units are located in B plus public school zones, in safe neighborhoods near grocery stores, churches, and public transportation offering these families stability and convenience. Paying rent under 30 percent of their monthly income enables these low income families to move beyond living paycheck to paycheck, allowing them to save, budget effectively, and achieve greater financial stability. The construction and development of this project generated employment opportunities and invigorated the local economy. By employing 55 percent HUD Section 3 subcontractors, it provided these low income individuals with access to jobs created through a HUD funded project. This project represents a significant investment in housing stability in the community.
