Financial health
We do not score finances when yearly spending is very small or the return has too little detail. The ratios stop meaning much at that size.

Governance
This organization files the short tax form, which does not ask about boards, policies or audits. That is normal for a small charity and is not a mark against it.

Impact evidence

Programs described in its return (1)
- In 2024 Wild Hearts Haven had a total of 24 horses as part of our program throughout the year. We had an intake rate of 13 horses in 2024 compared to 18 in 2023. We had 10 owner surrenders, 1 transfer from another nonprofit, 1 funded from a local auction, and one that was returned due to no fault off his own. While more minimally handled horses presented a challenge for us, we were able to overcome this buy sending four horses to external trainers to get started under saddle. In the spring of 2024 we received free vaccines through the Unwanted Horse Veterinary Relief Campaign. This allowed us to vaccinate most of our herd with spring vaccines or receive their initial vaccines after intake. We also were grateful to have a promo video made for us free of charge that we used to display at events (Rocky Mountain Horse Expo and the Adams County Fair) to start conversations to educate people on intercepting horses early to keep them out of the slaughter pipeline, as well as the importance of training the horses so they can live a good life with people. This in turn helped to increase further awareness in the community and we received more social media followers. In May we partnered with Summit Valley Horse Center in Silverthorne by sending them three of our horses where staff, volunteers and students work with the horses for further exposure and continued training. With this partnership awe were able to get three of the four horses adopted! In totality, Wild Hearts Haven was able to reach more of our community through events, word of mouth and social media. Another accomplishment of the year was getting accepted as an ASPCA Right Horse Warm Up Ring partner working towards the goal of increasing the awareness and value of adoptable horses.
