Impact evidence

Describes programs. Its tax return describes what it does but we have found no measurable results in it.

Programs described in its return (4)
  1. $62,500 spent. NON VOTER SURVEYTHE OBJECTIVE OF THIS NONPARTISAN RESEARCH STUDY WAS TO UNDERSTAND WHY REGISTERED YOUNG ADULTS DID NOT VOTE IN THE MOST RECENT ELECTION AND WHAT MIGHT MOTIVATE THESE NON-VOTERS TO TURN OUT IN 2026. USING THIS INFORMATION, RECENTER INDIANA AIMS TO DEVELOP A YOUNG VOTER ENGAGEMENT CAMPAIGN. USING FOCUS GROUP AND SURVEY DATA, RECENTER INDIANA FOUND THAT YOUNG ADULTS CARE ABOUT VOTING BUT FACE ELECTION DAY BARRIERS THAT LIMIT PARTICIPATION. THE RESEARCH ALSO SHOWS THEY ARE MORE LIKELY TO VOTE WHEN CANDIDATES PRIORITIZE ISSUES THAT MATTER TO THEM. RECENTER INDIANA IS SHARING THESE FINDINGS TO HELP ORGANIZATIONS MORE EFFECTIVELY ENGAGE YOUNG ADULTS AND INCREASE CIVIC PARTICIPATION.
  2. $24,912 spent. REDISTRICTING LISTENING SESSIONSWHEN INDIANA LAWMAKERS CONSIDERED REDISTRICTING OUTSIDE THE NORMAL CENSUS CYCLE, MANY HOOSIERS LACKED CLEAR INFORMATION AND OPPORTUNITIES FOR INPUT. RECENTER INDIANA HOSTED NONPARTISAN LISTENING SESSIONS TO PROVIDE BALANCED FACTS, GATHER PUBLIC FEEDBACK, AND SHARE CONSTITUENTS' VOICES WITH COMMUNITY LEADERS AND LAWMAKERS. MORE THAN 150 RESIDENTS ATTENDED THREE SESSIONS IN MARTINSVILLE, BEECH GROVE, AND FISHERS IN OCTOBER AND NOVEMBER 2025. FEEDBACK WAS COLLECTED THROUGH DISCUSSION AND LIVE POLLING, PRODUCING BOTH QUALITATIVE AND QUANTITATIVE DATA THAT WAS SHARED PUBLICLY AND DELIVERED TO LEGISLATORS. ULTIMATELY, THE INDIANA STATE SENATE REJECTED THE REDISTRICTING PROPOSAL. MANY SENATORS CITED CONSTITUENT OPPOSITION TO IT.
  3. $7,000 spent. PARTNERSHIP DEVELOPMENT/COORDINATIONRECENTER INDIANA HAS BUILT TWO PARTNERSHIP COALITIONS AND STRENGTHENED STATEWIDE NETWORKS WITH THE OBJECTIVE TO MAXIMIZE IMPACT FOR HOOSIERS, DEVELOP TEAMWORK AND IMPROVE EFFICIENCY. THE BLUEPRINT GROUP, ADMINISTERED BY RECENTER INDIANA, BRINGS TOGETHER MORE THAN 30 PRO-DEMOCRACY ORGANIZATIONS TO COORDINATE STRATEGY, SHARE RESOURCES, AND IMPROVE COLLECTIVE IMPACT. RECENTER INDIANA ALSO PARTICIPATES IN THE ALL IN FOR DEMOCRACY COALITION, A NETWORK OF 25+ ORGANIZATIONS WORKING TO INFORM AND ENGAGE HOOSIERS ON VOTING ACCESS. IN ADDITION, RECENTER INDIANA CONDUCTS BROAD OUTREACH TO GROW ITS BASE OF VOLUNTEERS, PARTNERS, AND SUPPORTERS.
  4. $159 spent. YOUNG VOTER ENGAGEMENT CAMPAIGN YOUNG ADULTS AGES 18-34 MAKE UP INDIANA'S LARGEST AGE GROUP, YET THEY HAVE THE LOWEST VOTER TURNOUT. NOTABLY, YOUNG ADULTS WHO HAVE NEVER VOTED ARE THE LEAST LIKELY TO PARTICIPATE IN FUTURE ELECTIONS. RECENTER INDIANA'S YOUNG VOTER ENGAGEMENT CAMPAIGN AIMS TO ESTABLISH REGULAR VOTING HABITS AMONG YOUNG ADULTS, BEGINNING WITH THE 2026 ELECTION. CAMPAIGN PLANNING IS UNDERWAY AND INCLUDES RESEARCH AND FACT-FINDING, BRAINSTORMING, INITIAL TEAM-BUILDING WITH LOCAL EXPERTS IN YOUNG ADULT CIVIC ENGAGEMENT, AND RECRUITING YOUNG ADULTS TO HELP GUIDE THE WORK. THE CAMPAIGN WILL KICK OFF WITH A SPECIAL EVENT IN SUMMER 2026, FOLLOWED BY A BROADER OUTREACH EFFORT IN THE FALL.
