Governance

This organization files the short tax form, which does not ask about boards, policies or audits. That is normal for a small charity and is not a mark against it.

Impact evidence

Describes programs. Its tax return describes what it does but we have found no measurable results in it.

Programs described in its return (2)
  1. THE EMPOWERMENT EFFECT DRAMATICALLY TRANSFORMED THE HOCKEY PROGRAM BY SUCCESSFULLY RECRUITING OVER 40 ENTHUSIASTIC GIRLS. WITH TWO MONTHLY PRACTICES AND BY IMPLEMENTING A VARIETY OF ENGAGING OFF-ICE EVENTS, THE EMPOWERMENT EFFECT FOSTERED A VIBRANT COMMUNITY THAT NOT ONLY STRENGTHENED THE TEAM BOND AND EMPOWERED THESE GIRLS WITH CONFIDENCE BUT ALSO IGNITED A GENUINE PASSION FOR THE SPORT. THIS INITIATIVE ELEVATED OUR PARTICIPATION RATES AND ALSO CULTIVATED A WELCOMING ENVIRONMENT WHERE THESE YOUNG ATHLETES COULD LEARN LIFE LESSONS AND THRIVE BOTH ON AND OFF THE ICE!
  2. THE EMPOWERMENT EFFECT HOSTS AN ANNUAL ADULT HOCKEY TOURNAMENT AS A FUNDRAISER THAT IS ENTIRELY VOLUNTEER-RUN, FEATURING OVER 20 TEAMS AND 350-400 PLAYERS. WHILE PROMOTING EQUITABLE ACCESS, SAFE SPACES, AND FUN, 100 PERCENT OF THE PROCEEDS SUPPORT OUR MISSION.
