What it says it does

Rescue Texas Resources is a foster based, 501c3 rescue group operating throughout Texas and in partnership with other rescue organizations. We were established to respond to the extreme number of at-risk dogs that need help from our organization. Hands on and boots on the ground urgent rescue assistance is the cornerstone of our rescue and answers the immediate need of dogs in distress. We also believe that community outreach and education about responsible pet ownership including but not limited to spay, neuter, vaccinations and heartworm prevention is very important to help alleviate the future, long term suffering of canine companion animals.

Governance

This organization files the short tax form, which does not ask about boards, policies or audits. That is normal for a small charity and is not a mark against it.

Impact evidence

Describes programs. Its tax return describes what it does but we have found no measurable results in it.

Programs described in its return (1)
  1. Rescue Texas Resources has taken in many dogs with severe medical needs due to neglect or abuse. We are foster based and keep our fosters supplied with everything needed to successfully rehabilitate the dog(s) they foster. Most of our intakes are severely injured, malnourished, heartworm positive and have severe skin conditions like demodex mange and are very sick. Often dogs are saved with severe orthopedic injuries that public shelters are not equipped or funded to address. We partner with local veterinarians for reduced fees so we can get the care and support needed to heal and rehabilitate the animals back to health and prepare them for the new life with an approved adopter. Rescue Texas Resources operates solely on donations from our friends and community. We are 100% volunteer based organization.
