Programs described in its return (1)
  1. $506,264 spent. Nashi Immigrants Health Board provides culturally responsive health, wellness, and integration services for Ukrainian and Russian-speaking immigrant and refugee communities in Washington State. Through strong partnerships with public health agencies, local organizations, and community leaders, Nashi implements programs that increase access to health information, mental health support, and healthcare navigation services in culturally and linguistically appropriate ways. Our services are organized into three primary areas: 1. Public Health Outreach and Education: This program focuses on collaboration with government agencies and public health departments to provide evidence-based, accurate, and culturally tailored health education. Materials and events are conducted in Ukrainian and Russian, ensuring accessibility for refugee and immigrant community members. This year we continued to translate materials, provide outreach events, develop health education materials and added our debut of a robust social media health education and outreach campaign via SM channels for our community . 2. Refugee Mental Health Services This program provides trauma-informed, peer-based, and culturally grounded support for Ukrainian refugees who arrived in the United States between February 2022 and September 2024. We are in year 3 of Refugee Mental Health Service provision and continue to provide all described services with additional team members added. . 3. Health and Healthcare Navigation This newly launched program assists refugees and immigrants in navigating complex healthcare systems and coordinating medical and behavioral health care. The program provided one-on-one case management for 100-200 individuals with high-need medical or social circumstances.
