Financial health

We do not score finances when yearly spending is very small or the return has too little detail. The ratios stop meaning much at that size.

Governance

This organization files the short tax form, which does not ask about boards, policies or audits. That is normal for a small charity and is not a mark against it.

Programs described in its return (2)
  1. $8,400 spent. The Carver Cluster Schools Foundation has a single program to provide small grants and drive collaboration among the schools and non-profit organizations providing services to the schools, enhancing the educational experience of all children attending the cluster's Atlanta public schools. See Schedule O for more details.
  2. The Carver Cluster Schools Foundation exists to enhance the educational experience of all children attending public schools within the cluster on the southside of the City of Atlanta. The organization makes small grants and drives collaboration efforts to support the Carver Cluster schools and non-profit organizations providing services to the schools, so that together we can have a direct impact on the lives of more than 3,500 children across NPUs V, X, and Y and approximately 12 neighborhoods in the historic southside of our city. We received grant applications from six (6) of the eight (8) eligible schools. We awarded $1,400 per school to support projects related to encouraging student attendance, teacher retention, and parent engagement; student STEM based project work; and partner development activities for school ecosystem building.
