What it says it does
Thrive Kenya supports over 400 orphaned, abandoned, abused, neglected, and vulnerable impoverished children living in the rural area of Homa Bay County, Kenya and in the slums of Nairobi, Kenya. Our vision for every child is that they grow up in a loving family based environment, building a foundation to thrive in an independent and self sustaining life. The problem is that across Kenya, countless children are orphaned, abandoned, or separated from family because of poverty or crisis. Without safe loving care and education, they face risks that can shape the rest of their lives. Our belief is that every child deserves a safe family, quality education, and the chance to become a thriving, self reliant adult. Our approach is to provide child centered, family-focused care that nurtures emotional security and belonging within a supportive family environment.

Governance
This organization files the short tax form, which does not ask about boards, policies or audits. That is normal for a small charity and is not a mark against it.

- $131,910 spent. In 2025, Thrive Kenya's 4th full year of operations, we clarified and renewed our overall vision and mission to position ourselves with the future of vulnerable children care in Kenya. Our accomplishments include a partnership with the Kenyan government who approved Thrive Kenya's plan in that we are embracing many elements of the Kenya Care Reform Strategy. We also continue to acquire land in Homa Bay for future vision planning. We began the planning of building a Junior Secondary School on our campus that will result in bringing all our 30 Juniors back to campus. We supported over 80 children from the community who live with their families by providing them with free education. We drafted our reintegration plan that involves family tracing and assessments as we begin to reintegrate children back into their families when we deem it safe to do so. We began our plans to build a foster care village on our Homa Bay campus for those children who are not able to reintegrate back to their families, can come to our campus and live in family modular housing, where all siblings live together, with no more than 8 children per home, and under the care of a well-trained matron or foster care worker who will oversee the complete care of those children living together as a family. We developed new partnerships in the community to assist us in supporting our mission to properly care for the children. We began our Life Transitions program in which all older children, following their graduation from high school, are mentored and counseled and helped along their path to higher education, learning new skills, learn soft skills, and receive career coaching all to lead them successfully to live independent and self-sustaining lives.
