Financial health

We do not score finances when yearly spending is very small or the return has too little detail. The ratios stop meaning much at that size.

Governance

This organization files the short tax form, which does not ask about boards, policies or audits. That is normal for a small charity and is not a mark against it.

Impact evidence

Describes programs. Its tax return describes what it does but we have found no measurable results in it.

Programs described in its return (2)
  1. $210,877 spent. Regarding Pedestrian Safety, at the Nehemiah Action we specifically asked SCDOT to complete the addition of street lighting between 253 and Marion Street by 2026, to seek additional funding for lighting projects along the White Horse Road corridor, and to commit to upholding a relationship with the underserved Berea community and meeting regularly to address their concerns. Additionally, the Greenville County Council was asked to establish and implement a Vision Zero plan for the county for zero-pedestrian deaths in the next three years.
  2. Regarding Eviction Reform, at the Nehemiah Action we asked state legislators to support bills SB.56 and H.4270 to seal or expunge evictions from a tenant's permanent record, in anticipation of bringing the statewide evictions down from 3X the national average to closer to the national average.
