What it says it does
In 2025, our organization continued to promote diverse voices in American theater by expanding access to the Bard at the Gate archive-filmed productions by writers from historically underrepresented groups. We partnered with high schools, colleges, and universities, to integrate the plays and post-show discussions into curricula. Our ongoing partnership with Broadway on Demand provided nationwide streaming access to works including: "Shapeshifter" by Laura Schellhardt, "Tent Revival" by Majkin Holmquist, "Cut: A Blasphemy" by Nikki Massoud, "Charles Francis Chan Jr.'s Exotic Oriental Murder" by Lloyd Suh, "How to Raise a Freeman" by Zakiyyah Alexander, "Passing" by Dipika Guha, "Sonnets for an Old Century" by José Rivera.

Financial health
We do not score finances when yearly spending is very small or the return has too little detail. The ratios stop meaning much at that size.

Governance
This organization files the short tax form, which does not ask about boards, policies or audits. That is normal for a small charity and is not a mark against it.

Impact evidence
Describes programs. Its tax return describes what it does but we have found no measurable results in it.
Programs described in its return (1)
- Program services include producing rehearsed and directed readings of unproduced dramatic works of quality that have been overlooked authored by writers belonging to groups historically denied visibility, expression, and representation by gatekeepers applying standards propagated by the dominate culture. Each film had a virtual premiere that was free to the general public. Additional services included virtual post viewing q&a sessions with audience members allowing the general public to interact with the authors, director, cast, and creative team members to learn about the production itself and the dramatic arts creative process. Our films are distributed and hosted in partnership with Broadway on Demand, along with each films post-show q and a session with the artists. The films currently in active distribution include: "Wings of Night Sky, Wings of Morning Light" written and performed by Poet Laureate Joy Harjo, music by Larry Mitchell and directed by Madeline Sayet, "Shapeshifter" by Laura Schellhardt, "Tent Revival" by Majkin Holmquist, "Cut: A Blasphemy" by Nikki Massoud, "Charles Francis Chan Jr.'s Exotic Oriental Murder" by Lloyd Suh, "How to Raise a Freeman" by Zakiyyah Alexander, "Passing" by Dipika Guha, "Sonnets for an Old Century" by José Rivera. We estimate over 12,000 members of the general public were served by our program services to date.
