Financial health

We do not score finances when yearly spending is very small or the return has too little detail. The ratios stop meaning much at that size.

Governance

This organization files the short tax form, which does not ask about boards, policies or audits. That is normal for a small charity and is not a mark against it.

Impact evidence

Describes programs. Its tax return describes what it does but we have found no measurable results in it.

Programs described in its return (3)
  1. $14,855 spent. The Barn at Lee produced our annual fall season in which in 2025 was named "Two by Two." "Two by Two" brought performances of "Even Cowboys Get the Blues" by Ankita Sharma, and "SWEET BIRD" by The Goat Exchange to our theater in Lee, Massachusetts with great success. The shows played over two sold out weekends, with about 300 attendees witnessing work created by emerging experimental artists supported by The Barn.
  2. $10,296 spent. The Barn at Lee produced Jordan Baum's new play "21st Century Princess" at Pageant in Brooklyn, NY. With a cast of 15 actors, and a sold out run, emerging artist Baum and the 150 audience members benefited from The Barn's dedicated investment in this experimental new work.
  3. $7,384 spent. The Barn at Lee's flagship residency program took place in June and October of 2025, and supported artists Fernando Buzhar-Segall, Jo Sunday, Bailey Williams, Emma Horwitz, and Kanishk Panday. Residents spent a week at the Barn (all food, housing, and transportation provided), developing new work. Artist are all compensated for their time at the Barn.
