Governance

This organization files the short tax form, which does not ask about boards, policies or audits. That is normal for a small charity and is not a mark against it.

Impact evidence

Describes programs. Its tax return describes what it does but we have found no measurable results in it.

Programs described in its return (1)
  1. $135,818 spent. Access Care Anywhere successfully launched communicable disease prevention and health promotion efforts to support Sexually Transmitted Infection (STI) prevention and promote access to sexual health information, education, and equitable care. Through funding from a Public Health Equity Grant from the Oregon Health Authority, our initial efforts focused primarily on reducing the spread of syphilis and preventing congenital syphilis as well as addressing HPV in Clackamas County. Working with community members, local, and state public health, among others, to identify and respond to community priorities for health, we provided sexual health education and conducted STI prevention activities, including condom distribution, and connected people to medical care and insurance coverage. We achieved our objectives to (1) conduct community outreach and engagement to build partnerships and awareness of available prevention and wellness resources and services; (2) provide health education, communication, and materials development and dissemination to help inform the public, especially people with disabilities and in rural areas of Clackamas County, with reliable health information and resources; and (3) advocate for public health equity through bringing attention to health inequities and equitably addressing the needs of our local communities. We collaborated with over 20 partners from national, state, and local public health, health care and nonprofit organizations and engaged with a wide range of community members including parents, children, adolescents, and adults of all ages at health fairs and community events. Educational materials focused on syphilis and congenital syphilis prevention-especially among women and people who may be or become pregnant-to ensure they receive appropriate screening according to updated guidelines; which expands syphilis testing anyone who is sexually active and at least 3 times for pregnant persons. Health education also focused on HPV vaccines as cancer prevention and starting HPV vaccinations at age 9 among youth and parents, and updated guidelines for adults to discuss with their providers the possibility to be vaccinated up to age 45.
