Governance

This organization files the short tax form, which does not ask about boards, policies or audits. That is normal for a small charity and is not a mark against it.

Impact evidence

Describes programs. Its tax return describes what it does but we have found no measurable results in it.

Programs described in its return (3)
  1. $55,500 spent. Survivor care: Beauty From Ashes served 85 survivors in 2025 compared to 45 survivors in 2024. Our support group attendance doubled from 2024 (total attendance count 202) to 2025 (total attendance count 460). We provided housing for 4 survivor families (only 1 in 2024), and we provided furniture to 2 families needing to start over, which we had never done before. We provided a stable Christmas for 20 survivor families through donations of Christmas gifts and food.
  2. $25,000 spent. Educate and Equip: In 2024 we developed our Responding to Domestic Abuse training and presented it 2 times. In 2025, we continued to develop the curriculum into 3 segments: Understanding Abuse: Responding to the Victim, Understanding Abuse: Responding to the Oppressor, and Understanding Abuse: Responding to the Children. Additionally, we developed prevention workshops for youth and young adults. In 2025, we presented 18 training sessions.
  3. $19,016 spent. Advocacy: We have built a team of volunteer advocates who walk alongside survivors, encouraging them, and in some cases, attending court or legal appointments with them or offering additional help as needed. In 2025, we have moved the Advocate Coordinator position to a staff member because of the increasing size of the advocate team. In 2024, we had 10 advocates, and by the end of 2025 we had 18 advocates.
