Impact evidence

Describes programs. Its tax return describes what it does but we have found no measurable results in it.

Programs described in its return (4)
  1. $168,633 spent. The Mosquito Fleet is a network of paddlers, boaters, and community activists fighting for climate justice and a fossil-free Pacific Northwest through trainings, creative on-water direct action and grassroots movement building. Mosquito Fleet provides kayak trainings, campaign support and a community space on the waterways of NE Portland. As a BIPOC and femme-led organization, the Fleet strives to get folks of all communities out on the water, especially folks who have been historically excluded from the climate movement and outdoor spaces (BIPOC, queer and femme folks).
  2. $145,275 spent. River Access Paddle Program - Clean the Duwarmish River every week. We also take people out on kayaks to teach them the history of the river. Thus, we need to pay the leads/volunteers stipends. Other expenses would be the kayak, materials for the programs.
  3. $38,242 spent. Heron's Nest Educational Programs - we offer skill shares including welding, carpentry and landscaping every week, we pay volunteer stipends for the skillshare events
  4. $33,873 spent. Grant Funding and Land steward program - we pay stipends to volunteers to come steward the land twice a week, the land will eventually give back to the Duwarmish Tribe. Expenses include rent, utilities, advertising to recruit volunteers, repair and maintenance.
