Programs described in its return (1)
  1. $2.1 million spent. DURING FISCAL YEAR 2025, WHILE UNDERTAKING AN ACTIVE RENOVATION OF OUR HEADQUARTERS, WE MAINTAINED THE FULL RIGOR OF OUR PROGRAMS. WE HOSTED 4 LABS (COLLABORATIVE STUDIO, EARLY PRODUCTION LAB, RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT LAB, AND POD POD) THAT UNITED 43 EARLY CAREER ARTISTS, PRODUCING 6 SHORT DOCUMENTARIES FOR DISTRIBUTION, DEVELOPING 23 WORK-IN-PROGRESS FEATURES, AND 6 WORK-IN-PROGRESS AUDIO PROJECTS FOR PRODUCTION. WORKSHOPS WERE BACK, ENGAGING 34 ARTISTS TO LEAD TWO-TO-FOUR DAY COURSES FOR 108 PARTICIPANTS, TOTALING 20 WORKSHOP SESSIONS ON 7 THEMES OF THE STRONGEST TRADITIONS AND MOST FORWARD-LOOKING EXPERIMENTS IN DOCUMENTARY ART. WE PROGRAMMED 78 EVENTS SHOWCASING POWERFUL WORKS BY 221 ARTISTS FOR A LOCAL AUDIENCE OF 4,958 AND AN INTERNATIONAL MEMBERSHIP OF 2,400 VIEWERS, SPARKING IMPORTANT ISSUE-DRIVEN CONVERSATIONS. FINALLY, OUR FELLOWSHIP INITIATIVE CONTINUED WITH THE RELEASE OF TWO RESEARCH-DRIVEN VOLUMES OF CRITICAL WRITING ON RADICAL NONFICTION PRACTICES FROM OUR PREVIOUS COHORT, WHILE OUR CURRENT COHORT KICKED OFF THEIR RESEARCH AT THE OPENING SEMINAR AT DOCLISBOA. CONCURRENTLY, FOLLOWING THE START OF DEMOLITION IN FALL 2024, WE MADE SIGNIFICANT CONSTRUCTION PROGRESS IN OUR BUILDING AND RAISED AN ADDITIONAL $1.2 MILLION TO SUPPORT BOTH THE CURRENT AND FINAL PHASES OF THE CAPITAL PROJECT.
