Financial health

We do not score finances when yearly spending is very small or the return has too little detail. The ratios stop meaning much at that size.

Governance

This organization files the short tax form, which does not ask about boards, policies or audits. That is normal for a small charity and is not a mark against it.

Impact evidence

Describes programs. Its tax return describes what it does but we have found no measurable results in it.

Programs described in its return (2)
  1. $17,294 spent. Helped maintain housing for seven individuals over the course of the year who are housing insecure. Provided funds in order to secure legal services to keep them in their homes, funded rent bonds in order to maintain housing during eviction proceedings, and helped pay their rental expenses over the course of the year. We are continuing to work with two of these individuals as they seek to secure more stable housing.
  2. $5,400 spent. Advocacy with Steeleberry Acres neighborhood (made up of 102 households) near Charlotte-Douglas International Airport (CLT) related to rezonings and the destruction of historic structures in the neighborhood. We have helped facilitate and train community members from the neighborhood on aspects of Planning and Rezoning in order to help set better policy in regards to residential and industrial development near the airport. Currently, City Planning has worked with this community to set stricter parameters on industrial and manufacturing development in close proximity to their neighborhood through the City of Charlotte's Community Area Planning process as a result of our advocacy. This can be seen in the City's Southwest Middle and West Outer Community Area Plans (Southwest Middle was adopted in 2025, West Outer is planned to be adopted in April of 2026).
