Financial health

We do not score finances when yearly spending is very small or the return has too little detail. The ratios stop meaning much at that size.

Governance

This organization files the short tax form, which does not ask about boards, policies or audits. That is normal for a small charity and is not a mark against it.

Impact evidence

Describes programs. Its tax return describes what it does but we have found no measurable results in it.

Programs described in its return (3)
  1. Grew the STLC board to 7 members by the end of 2025
  2. Worked with and supported the Upper Susquehanna Coalition to conserve a 115 acre property within our service area. The property consists of a large core wetland surrounded by forest. The USC took ownership of the property in 2025 and is planning on donating the property to the Southern Tier Land Conservancy in 2026 after it has completed a restoration project.
  3. Held our first fundraising event. A farm to table dinner at a local restaurant.
