Programs described in its return (1)
  1. $83,784 spent. Program accomplishments for 2024: We re-launched our free food program, Bodega Libre, which supplied 40-50 neighbors with free groceries (meat, fresh produce and shelf stable items) every other Saturday. Eight of our members got food safety certified. We installed a beehive, introduced bees to the garden, and five of our members took a beekeeping course. We ran kids activities during Bodega Libre and hosted cooking workshops, including a fruit salad workshop and soup stock making workshop. We hosted free, community celebrations, including a Juneteenth Celebration, Day of the Dead Celebration, and a Block Party. We held a school supply giveaway and a winter coat giveaway for neighborhood youth. We maintained our garden full of fruit trees, native flowers, culinary and medicinal herbs, and vegetables.
