Governance
This organization files the short tax form, which does not ask about boards, policies or audits. That is normal for a small charity and is not a mark against it.

The organization elevates the stories of underrepresented communities amid the ongoing decline of traditional news outlets partnering with universities and media to give students the tools guidance and connections needed to produce impactful community-centered journalism. Amplify Utahs largest initiatives include: The Story Room which partners local media to offer publication opportunities for student journalist from Utahs public institutions; the Utah College Media Collaborative which unites students from these same institutions in cross-campus projects to expand the reach of student journalism; and Voices of Utah a partnership with the University of Utahs award-winning capstone course that immerses students in multimedia journalism rooted in community engagement while providing publication pathways with local outlets. Additional projects include Community Storytelling high school programming and a photojournalism project featuring Utahns experiencing homelessness. We serve approximately 120 students annually publishing more than 230 stories and creating tangible industry experience for more than 105 published participants.
